Tenants can pay application fees, security deposit, rent or any fees related to rental application or lease agreement. The convenience fee is calculated during the checkout process and added to the amount of the transaction. The payment, convenience fee and total are shown to the tenant so they can confirm and authorize the amount they are paying.
For example, if a tenant pays $800 rent payment they are also shown a $3 convenience fee for electronic check or $24 convenience fee for credit card.
The total for a credit card would be $824. The landlord or property manager receives $800 and the $24 convenience fee is paid to Frontline Processing. We do this so owners/managers do not have to enter any fees into their accounting records and tenants enjoy the convenience of electronic payment.
